– Kurt’s dad suffers a heart attack, his friends try to force their religious beliefs on him – Kurt says thank you but no, the Glee club tells him he’s being disrespectful and continues to try and force their own beliefs on him – Kurt enlists Sue’s help in stopping the Glee club’s unwanted religion pushing, the Glee club and Emma chew Kurt and Sue out telling them that they’re being unfair to them – The Glee club physically go to Burt’s bedside and sing/use their religious beliefs on him, act as if Kurt being unreasonable when he asks them to leave – The episode ends with the Glee club once again pushing their religious beliefs on Kurt and convince him that he needs their spirituality, Kurt is seemingly forced into accepting it. Yeah, I’m still waiting for the moment when this episode stopped being offensive.
Yeah, basically everyone in this episode except for Puck and Sue pissed me off. I absolutely hated how they disregarded Kurt’s atheism and basically tried to make him feel horrible for it.
This episode makes me physically cringe. If I were in Kurt’s position, I would have flipped my shit when I found them at Burt’s bedside. I would have gone crazy. And the way that they all make out that Kurt’s being disrespectful because he won’t let them pray for him, when they’re being just as bad not respecting his Atheism? Guh, it makes me so mad.
Not even to mention how inappropriate Rachel was with the whole creepy song and hand-holding thing. Oh, and of course, Finn, who finds a magical wish-granting sandwich and prays to become quarterback before praying for his friend’s health. Nice.
